My Therapeutic Approach

I am highly interactive and collaborative and depend on a strong relationship with clients that builds trust and encourages individuality and personal growth.

I am trained in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) and use it for trauma, anxiety, depression and strength/confidence building. I also use Tapping (EFT) techniques for anxiety relief and emotional regulation.

I particularly love working with couples and families as these systems hold the greatest opportunity for repairing and strengthening important attachments. In my work with couples, I use aspects of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and The Gottman Method of Couples Therapy.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is EMDR therapy and how does it work?

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy that helps your brain reprocess traumatic or distressing memories. Using bilateral stimulation (like eye movements), EMDR reduces the emotional intensity of difficult memories without requiring you to talk through every detail. It's highly effective for trauma, anxiety, depression, and building confidence.

Do you offer in-person or only telehealth sessions?

All sessions are conducted via secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth video. This allows me to serve clients throughout California, providing convenient access to quality therapy from the comfort and privacy of your home. Research shows telehealth therapy is equally effective as in-person treatment for most conditions.

How much do therapy sessions cost?

Individual therapy sessions are $200 for 50 minutes. Couples therapy is $225 for 50 minutes or $275 for 75 minutes. I accept Partnership Health Plan of California (MediCal) and provide superbills for out-of-network insurance reimbursement. A free 15-minute phone consultation is available to discuss your needs.

What areas of California do you serve?

As a licensed California therapist offering telehealth, I can serve clients anywhere in California. I particularly serve communities in Sonoma, Marin, Napa, and Solano counties including Santa Rosa, San Rafael, Novato, Napa, Vallejo, Fairfield, and Petaluma, but I welcome clients from throughout the state.
